About Us
Loveblossoms was founded in the trash, after an expensive and elaborate wedding in 2015.
As an events coordinator and burgeoning florist, I knew intimately how much time, effort and money went into that evenings floristry. So at the end of the night, seeing thousands of dollars worth of flowers thrown into the trash offended me deeply. But what angers us most is often our greatest teacher, and can serve to illuminate paths unseen. At midnight, I loaded my car up in stilettos and an evening gown with a dozen trash bags filled with flowers, and surely looked insane. But a seed was planted in me, with the absolute clarity that only comes the moment you discover what you’re meant to do in life. My gift was Alchemy; Turning trash into treasure.
I recycled special events arrangements into bouquets, donating them to hospice and long term care facilities, as well as children and women’s shelters. I then partnered with local Kroger’s and Trader Joe’s, collecting their past sell by date flowers also headed to the dumpster and Loveblossoms was born. It felt symbolic, to take flowers which were overlooked and just needed a little TLC, and transform what was discarded into beautiful gifts. Then to give those flowers to people at a point in life, where they too felt overlooked, discarded, and needed TLC most. The joy of giving a bouquet of flowers to a person at the end of their life, who had never once received them, and talking to them, knowing something so simple as company changed their entire day… changed me.
I’ve spent the past 9 years developing my craft, and want not only to give the gift of flowers, but to teach others how to create their own joy through floristry. The benefits of creating with natures most beautiful medium, are well documented scientifically, but if you’ve ever arranged a bouquet yourself; you know the feeling. With my expertise, people learn a lifelong skill they can share to brighten the days of others with, or to simply enjoy themselves.
Together, we can create something beautiful.
